and caviar dreams. Just some more quick, right-before-bed-in-a-drugged-stupor drawings.

This was done with a reed pen, which is really hard to handle, but lots of fun. I think I'd like to do a more finished version of this drawing.
And of this one too...

and maybe this one too.

I didn't mean to make that one woman so Asian looking, but that's the way these things go sometimes.

to get a handle on watercolor. Ugh, this is a frustrating medium! Anyway, here's a sketch I tried coloring in.

Just some random stuff. First, two recent Ambien Drawings (though I wasn't as stoned as usual)...

(The cult members came out looking kind of like those dudes in that Frazetta painting that was on the cover of Sabbath's "Mob Rules")
A sketchbook drawing...

Tried doing watercolor over drybrush. Didn't really work.

I don't really have Sally Jesse Raphael glasses. Otherwise, it's a pretty accurate portrait.

More watercolors of naked ladies done at Art Students' League. Actually, it's just one lady--the same one as the previous week.
The face on this one got messed up, but I like the background...

I started with the portrait in the upper right, but it went sideways on me, so I tried again; now it looks like one of those cheesy Sears Portrait Studio shots.

For this one, I tried using concentrated watercolors. The colors are a bit too strong, verging on garish, so I'm gonna stick with regular pigments.

Oh, wait--it's a different lady. And she's got clothes. And a hat, even.

Tried coloring in one of my subway sketches...

Verso (That's fancy talk for "the other side")

As a long-time sufferer of insomnia, I'm eternally grateful for Ambien; my only regret is that I didn't personally discover the stuff until a few months ago. For a few days last week, I upped my dose, which put me in an especially nice, warm brain fog for the hour or so before turning off the lights and disappearing into the grave of sleep, ideal for listening to music, and, I discovered, for drawing. I got in the habit of doing a quick drawing right before slithering under the covers, when my hand could barely still clutch the brush. I call them my Ambien drawings (I put some real effort in that title, no?). I've had to cut back on the dosage, though, as I was just staying way too spaced out throughout the day. Anyway, here's the Ambien Drawings...

I fucked up the date on this one. Ha.

Apparently this drug helps me get in touch with my inner Goth.

Hey, can you do me a favor? Can you tell me if you see this image comes through ok? It's a drawing I've already posted, but I'm just trying to get a handle on dealing with the changes flickr made to their site. Thanks!

I just scanned a bunch of images and uploaded them to Flickr with the intention of then posting them here, as I've been doing for the past two years, only to discover that they've changed their format and they don't have that handy little button to link back to the image and lets you post it on another site. According to the FAQs, you're supposed to be able to grab the URL from the "share this" tab above the photo now, but in my case it's greyed out and I can't click on it. Ugh, this is so fucking frustrating! Does anybody know how to deal with this bullshit?

Did more figure drawings last Friday (turned out to be the same model), then applied watercolor to 'em at home. And here they are...

Is there anybody out there kind enough to take a moment and help me out with a technical issue that I'm sure is embarassingly easy to solve? It involves downloading MP3 files from a website onto my iPOd. If you want to do a mitzvah,
Is there an easier way to get an MP3 song file onto my ipod without downloading each one and then right clicking on it and choosing "open with itunes"? This works, but it's time-consuming. Also, how can I transfer a compressed folder that contains several MP3 files? I downloaded it fine, but I can't get them on my ipod. Here's the website that I'm downloading the files from
http://freemusicarchive.org/I have a PC. Please frame your answer in the most mouth-breathingly simple terms possible. Assume I know nothing. THanks!

I've been getting a bit better with watercolor, even though most of my efforts result in either various shades of thick mud or corpse-pale washes. Last week I did some figure drawings at
The Art Students League and applied color to them when I got home. The contrast on these has been tweaked a bit in Photoshop, but not as much as with
the previous batch I posted.
