Trying to get more of a handle on using color in my work, but the experiments are not entirely successful. I was messing around, trying to see how watercolor and colored ink look on top of more rendered drawings.

Her skin came out too orange, and that background color is just awful. In retrospect, I think I should have colored everything except for her in the same shade of blue used for the chair. In the next one, the guy's skin comes out too pink, kind of like he's sunburned. I guess I could pass him off as some degenerate, demented Jimmy Buffet fan (I believe they're called "parrot heads"...? Anybody know?)

I kind of like this one the best, even though the skin's too pink and the cleft of the buttocks is too starkly defined. (Ignore the background and the upper part of the torso on the right there.)

In unrelated news, my lady friend asked me to draw her a spider. It's a little uninspired, but it is a spider, no?
