Yes, it's another mess of critter videos, this time featuring all the animals of weeblondhooker. I finally made it out to see her cat, Mr. Tutti, who--as I'm sure you all recall--was left badly injured after a fight with another cat. He's on the mend, but is generally miserable because he can't go back outside until he's all healed.
The dog who makes a brief appearance there is Meilo, a poodle whose owner just died and whom weeblondhooker is fostering (although she'll probably end up keeping him). He's deaf, which I stupidly kept forgetting as I called his name.
Her parrot, Gilligan, is a real pisser.
And her two rabbits, Bodhi and Edie
I was in a used bookstore today, where I came across a magazine from 1971 entitled FITS, which featured a beautiful cover by Rory Hayes and Simon Deitch. I'd never seen this artwork before and I was tempted to buy it, but they were asking $16 (on sale from the regular price of $25), which is a bit much considering the rest of the mag (except for a drawing by Greg Irons on the last page) is absolute hippy drivel. I happened to have my video camera with me, so I took some "footage" of it. When I got home, I looked up the title here, but it wasn't listed. The only reference to it that I was able to find online (#203 on this list) says it was put out by the FITS Collective in San Francisco. So, should I go back and buy this? I'd love to have the cover framed and hanging on my wall, but of course I wouldn't separate it from the rest of the mag. I dunno....
Here's some artwork I did recently at the request of porn Obermeister hr_fuknstuf for a new website he's putting together
He's also the proprietor of the community butt_obsession, which you must join if you care at all about butts and the preservation and celebration thereof. Here's some art I did a while back with buttobsession in mind. I don't think I cross-posted it here.
Saint Anthony Tormented by Demons, Martin Schongauer (1445-1491)
A lot gets lost in the scan, unfortunately.
Speaking of Saint Anthony's torments, here's a version by Felicien Rops (1878)
My website is finally up and open for business! There are still a few little things to tweak, but you can check it out here. Bookmark it, tell your friends, etc., etc. Many thanks to alexmizell, who created the site. He's a true professional, so reach out to him if you need any help with all that technical stuff.
And here's a new Virgil comic, the first in over six years actually.
This comic was inspired in part by the Oprah-riffic YouTube tearjerker The Last Lecture. I was listening to it in a misguided effort to salvage some meaning from my waste of a life, and I got distracted by the part where he talks about his hobby of winning prizes at carnival games. I had a lot of help from David Paleo, too, who gave me great advice regarding composition and other matters. Thanks, mang!
Another dream sketch. I've been getting hives on my neck lately, and a few nights ago I had an anxiety dream in which I was scratching them until they started bleeding. Then somebody informed me that it wasn't hives I was afflicted with, but rather cancer.
