ai papi copy

A drawing from around 2000 (or actually even earlier, in its b&w incarnation). Big woman with a big ass, little man with a big dick, etc. etc. Let's try to move beyond this in 2009, shall we, Hugo? Aside from the stupid way I drew her face, I'm really disappointed with the coloring on this one; the colored pencils just look weak, and the blue background is really poorly done. The Art Director for SCREW magazine liked the original b&w art and asked me to submit a colored version for the cover, so I had to get it done somehow. I didn't know how to color with Photoshop (still don't actually), and this was the best I could do. It was published in late 2001, hence the reference to Osama Bin Laden on the cover. By the way, what ever happened to that guy?

It's like a porno ransom photo. "Send me a picture of him holding the current issue of SCREW so I know he's alive and horny!"

Did the whole family Christmas thing yesterday, as things were all in disarray on the actual day itself. Drew a bunch with my nephew, which is always fun. I got him a Madball (among other presents--I'm not that cheap!), which we used as a model at one point. He insisted we have a "race" in drawing it, so I didn't get a chance to go into all the gory detail.

Then he asked me to draw a picture of "a guy with a brain for a head, with a spike in it." OK...

Did a whole bunch of other stuff, including pictures of each other as Transformers (the robots, not the Lou Reed album), but it was all too big to scan. Saw my brother too, which is always good and all too rare. Here's a pic of the two of us at my older sister's wedding. I love how 70'sed out he is.

Prior Offenses: Christmas 08 Edition

An old drawing from many years ago, but it sums up how I feel about all the people in my life who are always there for me. All right, enough mushy stuff.
Merry Christmas and all that!

BLACKGUARD piece

Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008

My entry to the 1st issue of Stratu's new comix anthology BLACKGUARD ,the theme of which was "Religious Crazies" (as if there's any other kind). I chose that whack-job cult of cannibals that made headlines earlier this year. I'm not sure if this piece succeeded very well (mostly because of the abrupt shift in tone and subject matter within the piece; plus some of the panels on the last page are especially weak), but I'm glad to have gotten some positive feedback on it. Now go order yourself a copy--it's a great collection of sick and twisted stuff!

Kitty Update

Saturday, December 20th, 2008

About 6 months ago, my friend weeblondhooker rescued a starving, sick little kitten from off the streets of Jersey City. Here he is after his first bath...
fredo zoe 003
She named him Fredo, nursed him back to health, and found a new home for him. A real mitzvah she performed, I tell you! This week she got a photo from his new owners. Check out how big he's gotten!
Freddie and Willie
He's chilling with his roommate Willie (who's performing a superb face plant, I might add). Now, doesn't that warm your wretched little hearts?

And here's a little image I made with an old photo of my dear, departed kitty, Tura.

You wouldn't know it was shopped if I hadn't told you, right?

er8

A series of naughty drawings from last year. Most of these were done really quickly with leftover end-of-drawing-session ink. And most depict your typical dirty fare: spanking; lezdom; CONSENTING, FULLY INFORMED ADULT WOMEN WELL OVER THE AGE OF 18 who for some reason just happen to be dressed in Catholic school uniforms; some light bondage.

sec ink

I was inspired to draw this scene of secretarial sexplay partly by the sublimely filthy funnies of dexter_cockburn and partly by the photos accompanying this text from Volume 8 of the 1974 20-volume classic UNDERSTANDING HUMAN BEHAVIOR: AN ILLUSTRATED GUIDE TO SUCCESSFUL HUMAN RELATIONSHIPS, of which I have 10 volumes (another Salvation Army score).

These books are among my faves, as they're chock-full of super-70's illustrations and photos, like this one depicting the many roles of a pimp

uhb book pimp

or this one on the predicament of the new breed of liberated female

uhb book single girl

I want to thank David Paleo, who took the time to give me some great advice on how to improve the sketch for this drawing. Unfortunately, I'm a lazy ass and didn't follow any of it. I just went ahead and inked it as I wanted to move on to other things. So, this drawing could have been better, but that goes without saying, no?

Just a little drawing from last year

electric chair

I may have the opportunity to feature my comics in a cool little event that might be going on at the New York Comic Con in February ( I know, there's a lot of qualifications there, but I don't want to give details until things are more definite), but I'm seriously hindered by the fact that what I present would have to be suitable for all ages. I have very little work that doesn't have some degree of sex and/or violence in it. And the truth is, I don't want to draw stuff that doesn't interest me solely for the purposes of gaining a wider audience or making my stuff more accessible. I already have a job and spend most of the day doing things I don't want to do, so why should I come home and continue to do the same in my free time? It's not like I'm ever gonna make money off my work, so why should I compromise? But, at the same time, it is an issue. It's been on my mind because I've been invited to submit work to another venue, but there, again, what I do would have to be suitable for readers under 18. Don't these kids have Harry Potter and Transformers? Can't some things be just for adults? Yeesh! Or is it a failing on my part? Am I so limited that I can't think up a simple narrative that doesn't involve bodily fluids or hacked off limbs? The sex in my work isn't even that graphic (certainly nowhere near what those perverts bougieman or dexter_cockburn draw!) and there's actually very little violence, aside from cannibalism. I don't know. But speaking of cartoon violence, check this out!

I found this by way of boing boing
And here's another video of that Jacob's Ladder kitty, who I can't get enough of. Make sure your volume's set high as the audio quality is very poor and he makes the cutest little meow around the 0:18 second mark.

This is a comic from around 2002, featuring my old character Herbert the Pervert. Now, I don't use this character anymore, for obvious reasons, but please note that I have comics featuring him from 1998, well before the introduction of a character with the same name on the show FAMILY GUY. So there! Betty Crackwhore is my generic crusty old whore character.

betty crackwhore

This comic has never appeared anywhere else before because I was so unhappy with it. So many aspects of it are just weak (the cake, the oversized fetus), it's too wordy and clumsily laid out, and the joke itself is strained. I do like the panel where she's digging around in her twat though.

And now here's some viddies for you. This first one has been cracking me up all week. I first saw it posted on wtf_omgz by orwellian_trash

I've also been digging this trippy Peanuts clip featuring Schroeder. The highlight of 3rd grade for me was portraying him in the school play. I had the striped shirt and the little piano and everything.

Finally, a little cat video. Nothing really happens in it, but I can't stop hitting replay.
